George & Jolene got married at the Red Ivory Lodge, on March 16, 2013. Our besties, Elephantshoe Stationery Studio, were responsible for all the awesome stationery, and it looked insane!

Remember the super cool competition that Elephantshoe were running this year at the wedding expo, “Win an engagement shoot styled by Elephantshoe and photographed by Blackframe Photography”?

Well, Natasha & Chris were the lucky winners of the prize with their killer idea centered around the fairytale Red Riding Hood.

ONCE UPON A TIME . . .There was a girl who lived near the forest. Whenever she went out she wore a red riding cloak and everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood.

“SO THEY PACKED A NICE BASKET FOR LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD TO TAKE TO HER GRANDMOTHER”

RED “Natasha” is an incredible makeup artist & THE WOLF “Chris” is a talented film Director, they will be saying I do on the 23rd of March 2013. We all met up early one Sunday morning in Newtown Johannesburg to begin this unbelievable shoot.

Dressed in 1960s Italian sophistication, the free-spirited gorgeous starlet Sylvia and handsome socialite, paparazzi / journalist Marcello against the backdrop of idyllic  Roman architecture, urban chic living and bohemian social lifestyle. Picture this beautiful scene within an environment of wild and socially explosive Europe. The famous scene of Marcello and Sylvia dancing in the Trevi Fountain in Rome. She is looking for the next adventure, and he attentive but just trying to keep up with her exuberance, beauty and playfulness. Capturing our loving nature and carefree attitude together with energetic urban noise and romance of classical architectural scenes. Ending up dressed to the nines in a water fountain would be a superb finale.

We are so excited about our new brand identity designed by the insanely talented Samantha Schwikkard from Elephantshoe Stationery Studio. We met Samantha last year when we she booked us to photograph her wedding and from the word go we knew that this wedding wasn’t going to be just any old wedding, and oh my did it exceed our wildest expectations! It was filled to the brim with breathtaking details from the amazing stationery to the beautifully styled dessert tables, all of it designed and styled by Mrs. Schwikkard herself. We were obviously thrilled when she agreed to give our brand a little makeover and once again we were just absolutely blown away by her talent… on our first revision round she had me crying tears of joy, what can I say the girl has a beautiful mind!  So thanks Sam we are really thrilled and so excited to show off our new brand, hooray!! PS. These are just a couple of snapshots but the real deal is on its way:-)
